Recognizing the importance of information technology to students' education, Mrs. Tengwall and Mr. LeMoine, the school technology coordinator, are currently  evaluating the school's technology resources  and program. They are using Plugging In: Choosing and Using Educational Technology 1   to determine the school's current  resources and project future needs, in light of  the guidelines recommended in Recommendations for  Policymakers and Educators.2 . The Technology Effectiveness Framework is being used as the basis for electronic  information literacy instruction 3.. Implementing the guidelines recommended in these documents will prepare students to locate, evaluate and use information from the World Wide Web and a variety of non-print sources. Students will learn to produce high-quality papers and projects using the technology available at school, home and in the community.
